The Blue Lotus is a jaipuri razai made from 100% cotton, hand block printed on both sides and hand stitched with surgical cotton fill. Not a factory quilt with machine stitching and polyester inside. This is the real thing. Manufactured at Vardhman Mills, Suratgarh, since 1983.
What’s inside this jaipuri razai?
Surgical cotton fill at approximately 225 GSM. Surgical cotton is denser and more uniform than regular mulmul fill, it holds its shape longer and distributes warmth more evenly across the razai. No synthetic fillers, no polyester, no shortcuts.
Construction
Hand-stitched, not machine quilted. The stitching keeps the surgical cotton fill locked in place without compressing it. Both sides are hand block printed on 100% pure cotton, so the razai looks finished whichever way you use it.
Design
One side has blue floral bouquet motifs set in a white diamond grid, traditional Jaipuri block print. The reverse side has a dense blue lotus pattern on a blue base. Two distinct looks from one razai.
